Telephoto Sunset


I cannot get a got photo of the sunset from where I usually watch for wildlife, but on the evening of the day after Christmas I manged to capture this sunset just a few moments before the color was gone from the sky. Taken with a Canon 40D and 70-200mm at 70mm, ISO 100 with 2 stops underexposture.

    The colors here are wonderful. The play of the line of gray cloud above makes it that much more interesting.

    Beautiful shot. What do you think of the 40D? My dream camera is a 30D, but my husband's dream camera is the Mark II.

    You are correct that is Deneen's Gap from the hill above our house.
